Hey y’all. Happy Christmas week. I can’t believe 2020 is almost over. It’s been a total blur. I’m so excited to be dropping in for another post to share my Capitol Senior Session with Lydia. I’d been wanting to do a shoot at the capitol for a while, but I didn’t have the chance to make it happen until last week.
It was one of those days where the weather wasn’t too cold, the sun was perfect, and we had an awesome shoot.
We started out on the steps of the capitol and took advantage of some nice shade. The sun was too bright to get out in full view of the capitol.
As the sun went down just a little, we moved to where we could get the capitol in full view behind her. It was so cool to see the tall building in the photo.
After we got some great shots at the capitol, we headed over to shoot by the Supreme Court building. It’s a beautiful building so I knew we could get some cool shots there. Lydia was a natural too. I didn’t even have to tell her much about posing. She just did it.
After a few shots at the Supreme Court, we decided to head over to the parking garage. I’d been dying to do a parking garage shoot also. It was a perfect day to try it with the beautiful, glowy sunlight. We went to the top level and got some amazing backlit images. We also were able to capture some cool images with the capitol in the background.
This capitol senior session with Lydia was so much fun. I was able to capture some great images of her, and I got to try out some new locations. I’m super happy with the session, and I can’t wait to shoot there again soon.
